AROMTECH INTRODUCES A NEW ANTI-AGEING CAPSULE FOR INSIDE OUT COSMETICS
Aromtech Ltd, Finland has developed a new formula based on the extracts of sea buckthorn berry (sp. Hippophaë rhamnoides) for inside out cosmetics. The new product, offered as an ingestible capsule, combines the proven benefits of sea buckthorn oils with the antioxidative power of sea buckthorn berry phenols in a single preparation.
Total Sea Buckthorn Formula for effective skin anti-ageingSea Buckthorn Oils (INCI: Hippophae Rhamnoides Oil), manufactured by CO2 extraction have been previously shown to impart effective skin protection in oral administration in vivo in view of elevated skin hydration, improved elasticity and reduced wrinkle size. In a recent study, both Sea Buckthorn Berry Oil and Sea Buckthorn Seed Oil showed excellent potential against LDL and DNA oxidation in vitro. On the other hand, a phenolic extract of Sea Buckthorn berry has been demonstrated to impart a significantly higher radical scavenging capacity than e.g. pomegranate extract in vitro. The new combined sea buckthorn lipid and phenol formula offers an important synergistic effect based on the scientific finding that the presence of sea buckthorn oil enhances the absorption and bioavailability of sea buckthorn phenols in oral administration.
